Could you provide a brief introduction and explain the motivations behind your creative and entrepreneurial journey?
I began my career in investment banking, but I quickly realized it wasn’t where my passion truly lived. I’ve always been drawn to art and fashion, and that creative pull eventually led me to launch my own fashion line. From there, my journey expanded naturally into art collecting and entrepreneurship.
Travel has also been a major source of inspiration for me. Experiencing new cultures, design, and architecture fuels my creativity and motivates me to keep building and exploring. I believe that once you develop an artistic eye, you start to see the world through that lens in everything you do-and that perspective is what continues to drive me forward.
Why did you decide to get into fashion and events after working in investment banking for a while?
The main reason I moved from investment banking to fashion was my kids. Bringing two boys into the world changed everything for me. I wanted to be present in their lives - I didn’t want a strict eight-hour corporate routine that kept me away from them. I also felt a strong desire to return to my creativity, to find more space, freedom, and happiness in my work instead of stress. That’s when I decided to explore different paths. I actually began as a stylist, then went on to study fashion design, styling, and bag design, which opened the door for me into the world of fashion, art, and creativity.
You’re known for your effortless elegance, how does NiLuu’s design philosophy resonate with your personal style?
I love eye-catching pieces. Even when my overall look is simple, I always gravitate toward something unique - and Niluu is truly one of the most unique brands I’ve come across. The fabric, the textiles, the prints, the organic feel, the aesthetics… the whole brand just speaks to me.
The cuts are incredibly distinctive and beautifully complement a woman’s body, which is one of the main reasons I’m drawn to Niluu. And honestly, the comfort is unmatched. The silk is wonderfully cooling - perfect for Dubai - and the prints are what capture me every time. I love prints, and I love color, and Niluu delivers both in the most stunning way.
Which niLuu item speaks to you the most, and how do you like to incorporate it into your everyday life or special occasions?
I love the silky sets for my daily routine and especially during Ramadan - they’re conservative, comfortable, and so easy to wear. They’re perfect for work events when I want to look put together without sacrificing comfort. And for evenings, I always gravitate toward niLuu’s silky dresses and kaftans. They’re elegant, effortless, and beautifully designed for special occasions.
What principles do you attempt to instill in your followers that you share with niLuu?
One thing I really appreciate about Niluu is that the fabrics are all organic. That aspect is incredibly important to me. It speaks to the brand’s commitment to sustainability, which makes the pieces not only beautiful but also meaningful.
Art clearly plays a big role in your life. How does your love for art influence your creative direction, whether in fashion, styling, or the way you curate your surroundings?
Art makes me happy, and that naturally reflects in the way I choose my clothes. I’m always drawn to colorful pieces - it’s how I express myself and how I stay connected to what inspires me. Just like the vibrant, joyful art that fills my home, I love surrounding myself with unique, colorful items that lift my mood and bring energy into my everyday life.
What is something interesting or unexpected about you that others may not know?
I’m super sweet and kind and will go out of my way to help someone.
What are your goals moving forward, and are there any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re particularly excited about?
I would love to create a piece of art or maybe a collaboration with niLuu one day will be lovely
