What is your vegan silk made of & how does it resemble silk?
Our vegan silk is made using Bemberg® Cupro, a yarn produced in Japan and derived from the linter of the cotton seed—material that is typically discarded during cotton harvesting. The unique properties of this fabric offer the same benefits as traditional silk, only better. It is breathable, gentle on skin and hair, and drapes beautifully with a luxe, weighted feel.
Is your vegan silk suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Bemberg® Cupro is naturally breathable, hypoallergenic, and exceptionally soft, making it ideal for sensitive skin and everyday wear.
How do I care for my niLuu pieces?
Caring for your niLuu pieces is easy. Unlike traditional silk, which often requires hand washing or dry cleaning, niLuu’s vegan silk garments can be machine washed and tumble-dried—please choose delicate cycles to enjoy your niLuu pieces for a long time. Ironing or steaming is recommended but not required.
Do niLuu pieces wrinkle easily?
Our vegan silk is more wrinkle-resistant than traditional silk. Any light creasing typically relaxes with wear or can be smoothed with a quick steam or gentle ironing.
How does niLuu fit?
niLuu designs are intended to drape fluidly on the body, offering an elegant and relaxed fit. If you prefer a more tailored look, we recommend sizing down. Please refer to our Size Guide or contact hello@niluu.com for personalized sizing assistance.
Are niLuu pieces seasonless?
Yes. niLuu collections are designed to be seasonless and versatile. Our breathable vegan silk transitions effortlessly from warm to cooler climates and can be styled alone or layered year-round.
Are your prints exclusive to niLuu?
Yes. All niLuu prints are designed in-house and are exclusive to the brand, inspired by travel, nature, and art.
Are your products sheer?
Most niLuu styles are fully opaque. Certain lighter colors or fluid silhouettes may have a softer drape; any sheerness will be noted in the product description when applicable.
Where are your products made?
niLuu products are made in Turkey by trusted partners with whom we maintain close relationships and visit regularly to ensure quality, ethical standards, and craftsmanship.
Is niLuu a woman-founded brand?
Yes. niLuu was founded by Nilufer Bracco with a vision to create timeless, conscious luxury pieces rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and feminine ease.
Shipping & Returns
What shipping options are available & how long will it take to receive my order?
We are pleased to offer complimentary 5–7 business day shipping on all orders placed on niluu.com. This applies to our current shipping destinations. We also offer a 2-day expedited shipping option for $20.
Do you offer next day shipping?
Our standard expedited shipping is 2 days for $20. If you require next-day delivery, please contact hello@niluu.com prior to placing your order and we will do our best to assist.
Where does niLuu ship to?
We currently ship directly to Canada, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Please contact us at hello@niluu.com to inquire about purchasing niLuu in other countries as we may be able to direct you to one of our retail partners.
Will I be responsible for duties or taxes on international orders?
International orders are subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by the destination country. We are pleased to offer a flat fee of $80 covering all these duties and fees as well as the cost of international shipping. This fee is included at checkout. Please note that international orders are final and cannot be returned.
Can I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. Using this link, you can track your shipment, provide delivery instructions, or update the delivery address within the same country as the original shipping destination.
How do I cancel or amend my order?
If you wish to cancel or amend your order, please email hello@niluu.com with your order number as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, once an order has been processed, changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed.
How do I exchange an item?
To request an exchange, please email hello@niluu.com. Once your return is received and approved, your exchange item will be shipped accordingly.
How do I return an item?
We hope you love your niLuu purchase. If not, you have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return, unless stated otherwise. Returned items must be unworn, unused, with original tags attached, and in their original packaging. Returns are accepted only for items purchased directly from niluu.com. For items purchased through third-party retailers, please refer to their return policy. To initiate a return, contact hello@niluu.com. Once approved, you will receive a return shipping label and detailed instructions. Items sent without prior authorization will not be accepted. Please note that international orders are final and cannot be returned.
What do I do if my Item is damaged or defective?
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can understand the issue and make it right.
When will I receive my refund?
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the return approval. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund.
Can I return or exchange a gift?
Yes. Gift returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy. Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
